What is Giclée Printing?
Giclées are Museum quality Fine Art reproductions, also called Archival Prints. These are the result of highly advanced digital printing technology.
A Fine art Giclée is the closest to an original painting you can get. These artworks are made with an ultra-high-resolution fine-art printer, using the very finest archival inks on acid free paper. Unlike regular printed reproductions, Giclées are truly durable "Museum quality" Fine Art reproductions.
A Fine art Giclée is created by tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of archival, pigmented inks onto a sheet of fine art, acid free paper. This spray of ink, more that 4 million droplets per second, gives the name giclée which is French for "fine spray."
What are the benefits of Giclée Printing?
The main benefit is that you, the artist, is in control of how many prints you have printed at any time, so helping to manage your cash flow. There is no denying the superb quality achievable now using this process with modern giclee printers and inks. This enables you to offer affordable high quality reproduction of your artwork to a much wider audience than otherwise is the case. You maximize the financial return for your efforts and open up your artwork to appreciative buyers who otherwise would be unable to afford the pleasure of seeing your work hanging on their walls.
