James paints local scenes around his home city of Edinburgh, but also travels around Britain and makes trips abroad to extend his subject matter. James has also always enjoyed painting people. If you are interested in having a portrait done either in oil or watercolour please contact us, prices start from £95 for a framed 10" x 7" head and shoulders in watercolour.

Nudes - The nude is a classical subject and has been painted by many famous artists over the years such as Degas, Cezanne and Renoir. James portrays the beauty of the female body within his paintings.

Scenes - James' scene paintings show the relationships between people and are often set in interesting landscapes.
